Awesome metal dudes/band are coming back to Kingston on FEBRUARY 4th! This is a show not to be missed. Grab your tickets this week at all outlets (listed under shows section). This show also marks the return of DEAD AND DIVINE and ARISE AND RUIN, and first Kingston show for BORN OF OSIRIS.

Thanks to everyone that helped make 2008 a great year for the live music scene in Kingston. There are certainly more local venues and bands popping up and things look good for 2009.

STRIKE ANYWHERE are coming to Canada in June and their first stop will be Kingston, Ontario! One of Fat Wreck Chords top bands for sure, this show should be packed, so make sure to pick up a ticket at: Brian's Records, The Jungle, The Rockit, Renaissance Music, or Sunrise (cat mall). Openers include This is a Standoff (Steve from Belvedere's new band), plus Carpenter and locals Captain Kife and Beerhand! This is a show NOT to be missed!

Threat Signal headline this years KPP SPRING MELTDOWN on Saturday May 17th! There will be ten bands and two stages, so bring your party hats and ear plugs! Check out the full lineup in the shows section.ack on April 27th!

The Cancer Bats are back on April 27th! Their last show here in Kingston turned out to be pretty awesome, so this will no doubt be a repeat - maybe better! This time around they are joined by labelmates A Textbook Tradgedy and Dine Alone Records artist Black Lungs (Wade MacNeil from Alexisonfire). Tickets are on sale now so be sure to get on that because they'll be going fast!

Most people around town have surely heard by now that Ace’s Top Card has closed its' doors permanently. KPP had been holding shows there regularly since this past fall, so it will be a missed venue for live punk, rock, and more - R.I.P., Ace’s! As one can imagine, KPP's show schedule has been affected by this closure, so shows have really been shuffled around. Be sure to check the shows page for an up-to-date listing of upcoming events.

Distort Records’ Cancer Bats return to Kingston this Wednesday for a show at the Time to Laugh - this should be a pretty sweet show, so be sure to check it out! Also, while you’re at it, check out this shows page with (count ’em) 7 upcoming shows listed! Yowza!

The Reason is back in Kingston again soon for what’s sure to be another great show - this time they’ll be joined by the St. Alvia Cartel, which includes ex-members from Grade, Boys Night Out, The Video Dead and Jersey. As usual, a few new shows and details have also been announced - be sure to check it out!

In other news, we’ve switched mailing list providers here on the site because there are so many of you dudes signed up, which is awesome! New users can sign up using the sligtly-changed form at the bottom of the site. However, if you were already subscribed to the list, then you should have already gotten an email containing a link that lets you activate your subscription on the new list. You need this email to continue getting emails from us! If you haven’t gotten it, be sure to check your spam folder and if you still can’t find it, give Marc an email at kingston_punk_productions@hotmail.com and he’ll hook you up!

There’s a show on December 20th at the Time to Laugh, which will almost definitely be the last KPP show of 2007! This year has been a good one - here's looking forward to another batch of great bands in the new year! Check the shows page for more details on this final show (and others!) and come out and party like it’s... uhh... 2007? Indeed!

As far as 2008 goes, we've already got some sweet shows lined up! On January 15th, we’ll have the pleasure of bringing you some of Relapse and Metal Blade Records’ finest as Fuck the Facts and Psyopus will be blasting some eardrums (in a good way!) with Severence and more at Ace’s Bar and Grill. Actually, if you haven’t had the chance to check out a show at Ace’s yet, this would be a pretty damn good one to see first! I think you will find that it is rad rad rad! This show is all ages too, so don’t feel left out, young dudes!
